Jessica Morris

marketing director

From a very early age, Jessica has been in awe of all things relating to the natural world around her. Most of her days were spent outside climbing trees, saving little animals, and digging in the dirt. Not surprisingly, her idol growing up was Jane Goodall. Saving the animals of the world and figuring out a way to be the best steward of the Earth were her goals. Fast forward a few years later, her ultimate dream came true when she and her undergraduate friends took a road trip to Iowa to meet her idol, Jane G! Although she forgot her name when Jane Goodall asked, she’ll never forget how that brief encounter made her feel. Meeting her idol and then having the opportunity to travel to South Africa to attend a primate conservation field school and present her undergraduate capstone project at PEGG, Primate Ecology and Genetics Group, was an experience that she will never forget.

Jessica holds a BA in Anthropology and a BA in History from Youngstown State University. While there, she traveled abroad multiple times, participating in different archaeological projects in San Salvador, Bahamas, and Raxruja, Guatemala. She also graduated with over 200+ credit hours because she loved learning so much! Jessica is now pursuing an MA in Psychology and works as an Associate Analyst at AML Rightsource.

When Jess isn’t daydreaming about being back out in the South African bushveld, she enjoys dancing, coaching, learning foreign languages, reading, cooking, laughing with friends, being outdoors, being a social and political activist, and napping with her doggo daughter, Lil Boogie. Jessica is excited to be a board member of FTLOP, and looks forward to finding ways in which she can make her positive small dent in this world!
