My name is Michelle Gonzalez, but most people call me “Dr.G” or just “G”. I was born in Puerto Rico but have been living in Ohio for the last 27 years. I graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1999 and, after 7 years in private practice, opened the Rascal Unit mobile veterinary clinic to provide affordable and accessible care to animals throughout the State. I have always been passionate about animal welfare, which led me to complete a Master’s degree in Veterinary Forensics from the University of Florida and a Master’s in Forensic Psychology from Southern New Hampshire University. My primary interests are the investigation and resolution of cases of animal cruelty and neglect as well as understanding why people commit these acts so that we can work on ways to keep both animals and the community safe.
